I've used a bitcoin ATM as Canadian Financial institutions will not allow the CAD to be moved into Bitcoin. The big 5 banks... BMO, CIBC, TD, RBC and ScotiaBank are not friendly with crypto. Meaning they have blacklisted literally every way of using exchanges or deposits to crypto. So I have to go to my banks ATM, withdraw cash, and go to a bitcoin ATM to deposit.
