Moderna to accelerate COVID-19 Vaccine supply:

05:22 AM EST, 02/23/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Moderna (MRNA) is increasing its COVID-19 vaccine supply and said that the US Food and Drug Administration had given it positive feedback on a proposal which could potentially enable it to complete manufacturing runs more quickly, company president Stephen Hoge said in a US hearing.

The company is on track to deliver 100 million doses of its therapy by March end and recently agreed to up its delivery timeline to deliver an additional 100 million doses by the end of May, followed by another 100 million by end of July, Hoge said.

He added that the US Food and Drug Administration had given the company positive feedback on a proposal to pursue a plan that might allow up to 15 doses of the vaccine to be drawn from each vial, allowing Moderna to produce and deliver more doses more quickly.

The Food and Drug Administration granted an emergency use authorization for the company's vaccine in December.
