I agree with you, saildone, that even though the lithium investment and mercury remediation efforts are Comstock's "glamor" areas, their possible future as a gold mining company (although currently by Tonogold proxy) also holds real potential, in two different ways:

1.It seems unlikely, almost to the point of impossibility, that 19th century miners, using 19th century knowledge and equipment, have found all the commercial gold and silver in this historic site available to modern technology and geologic understanding, and

2. The different "arms" of Comstock interest and expertise have the potential to tie together nicely. More and more I think of tailings piles and polluted ground as the next generation's precious metal and rare mineral prospects; and perhaps the 'next generation' has already arrived.

Two other thoughts:
1.The farmout deal to Tonogold seems very favorable to Comstock, but Tonogold likes it well enough to risk some serious money, and
2. I sincerely hope that Comstock and Itronics are still talking to each other. Their interests do seem to fit together nicely.
