What I suggest is every investor call there broker and simply tell them you never want your shares loaned out to be shorted. Now cash account cant loan shares , but all margin account can. So if every margin account stops the ability of shorts to borrow there shares, things can change quickly.

I mean how hard is it to call and stop your shares from being loaned.
What can it hurt?
