Well, it was not me! Because honestly, being married to one very GOOD stock is how one really in the end makes tons of money and gets the big kills. Have done it myself. If you are going to make 10% one day and lose it the next and have stress up the ying yang day in and day out as a flipper and day trader, then yes that is good advice. However, would you have said someone was stupid for being married to Amazon early on with all the problems they had for years and massive debt? How about anyone who held Bitcoin from 2007-8!LOL Do not misunderstand though, sometimes people make mistakes. I have and invested in stuff I should not have. That is sadly how you learn the hard way some times. So just have to weigh, in the end, what the future prospects of the company and stock actually are after whatever the storm is concludes. And if it is good then might be worth averaging down rather then rolling the dice again.

Reminds me of that Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon had a wallet he could not access from around 2008 because he lost or forgot the password! He had mined or purchased some BTC for pennies each and a few bucks almost for fun. Of course, in the episode from a few years ago, all of them all of a sudden, of course, were desperate to find it! Being married to any investment, in the end, is about being married to the RIGHT investment. And also understanding investments sometimes have their ups and downs and big kills can sometimes take years not days or months. I mean hey, what a ride here! My biggest win ever the lowest I bought it at was .08 and it went to $4! That cycle took about 3 years as well. During that time of the .08 it looked like the company was sunk. So you never know how things like this will turn out. But you can do DD and have an educated guess....

BTW, do not forget the tax benefits of being married to a stock that ends up being a big kill! LTH compared to STH tax wise can be the difference of hundreds of thousands of dollars in your pocket on a really big hit!
