I am so sorry to inform you all. I just read on the Yahoo board for ABWN that some folks have done their homework and found out that this Patent # US 6,285,878 B1 which was issued in Sept. 4, 2001, was issued 20 years ago. That patents expire after 20 years. I did not know how patents work in regards to expiration time when I purchased the ABWN shares. I always thought that patents last forever. I guess I was wrong. I hope someone who has insight into patent law can explain to us if this Patent is still good or not for Airborne Wireless Network Company. If not, what does this mean to the Co., and its technical advancements?
I am so sorry people, I am just as dumb founded as the rest of you who brought on enthusiasm. I hope this is a false alarm because I am holding millions of shares of ABNW like the rest of you.

Patent expired already. Google it:
20 years
A U.S. utility patent, explained above, is generally granted for 20 years from the date the patent application is filed; however, periodic fees are required to maintain the enforceability of the patent. A design patent is generally granted protection for 14 years measured from the date the design patent is granted.
Can a patent be renewed after 20 years?
You then renew the patent by paying the lapsed fees. If the patent is past the 20- or 14-year mark (depending on the type of patent), you cannot renew the patent, but you can still own the product and any other materials and information you purchase from the inventor.
