Science 2/17/ 2021 Intranasal fusion inhibitory lipopeptide prevents direct contact SARS CoV 2 transmission in ferrets. Again, that should be Brilacidin.

But it ain't.

Instead we will treat already hospitalized inpatients - a very sick group, mind you. With most of the trial taking place in a country no one trusts. Russia. Seriously? So what if the science is good? Who trusts the Russians?

Totally bonkers the way this unfolded. Sure I get it: we had no equivalent lung inhaler to budesonide, so we could not test it. And we have no intranasal inhaler similar to the ferret drug to test either. No drug company apparently willing to help out little IP and B to warp speed the development of these delivery systems.

And so we have ended up in a weird place for sure.
