As you suggest, my theory is it is a singular group or small group of traders like reddit using RH and targeting random zombie penny stocks to pump them up on a massive scale of entities. It's easy to ascertain with a stock screener for a zombie stock with billions of outstanding.
Then pick whatever amount of stocks they're going to run and hit all those stocks with robo trading, usually reserved for exchange stocks that are trending. It's reverse of what they pulled off weeks ago.
