Naked shorted shares are never bought back. The idea is to short the company so they basically die. Typically this has been done thro offshore accounts. I don’t know but I remember a movement by the ceo of overstock.com back in early 2000s about ostk being victim to this. They did survive and not sure how it turned out

This is speculation on my part I don’t believe the negative posters were simply trying to get shares from longs. There were plenty of opportunities to get in low. Very low. Now we are near .18 and some are still trying???
