At one time AMEL had 70,000 acres in Nevada. They lost all of them except for 600 acres. Still don't know what happened to the 600 acres.
In Nevada every 20.5 acres is considered one mine. Each mine (20.5 acres) there is a $135.00 annual fee to keep the mine active. Divide 70,000 acres by 20.5 and you get 3,414 mines. At $135.00 each annually that comes to $460,975 just for the annual fees. Even if you found lithium, which they never did, you would have to mine an incredible amount just to pay the fees before you make a profit. Go figure.
