Do you only do that on the come out roll? It would seem to me that if the shooter keeps making his point, eventually you will lose your lay bets or do you take down your remaining in-action lay bets if he makes a point and wait until he craps out & do it all over again?

Nice catch. I do take down the lay bet if the shooter rolls anything but 7. If he rolls seven, I leave it up for the next roll and repay the $6 juice.

Of course, leaving it up would work equally as well so long all the shooter rolled was his point (which will have lost the lay bet and will now be the point bet with odds) or a seven. Thus, for example, if the shooter rolls 8 on the come out, one could leave the lay bet working on 4-5-6-9-10 and would again win if the shooter rolled seven and would not lose with a 2-3-8-11-12. Of course, if the shooter rolled 4-5-6-9-10, then that bet would lose. I never tried leaving it up and always took it down after a point had been rolled.

I had one pit boss suggest placing a $10 bet on each of the three 7 combinations, which if rolled paid 13-1. Thus, a $130 win against a $30 loss. The problem with this method is that a 2-3-11-12 also was a losing roll. The small incremental win difference $130 v. $120 was not worth losing the 2-3-11-12. Lost the $30 a couple of times when 2-3-11-12 were rolled on the come out.

I agree regarding comps. I will no longer sit there and play for them. But, having played, I sure do not mind getting whatever they give me.

All of this said, it is time to get to work. Later.
