Shorting more puts when halted lifted
I closed all my shorted puts yesterday. Since my boat is pretty loaded with long shares and long calls, I’m just gonna start shorting puts like a madman.

For those who don’t understand the terminology, “shorting” puts is actually a long position. I pick a strike price where I am willing to buy and sell to open corresponding puts. This generates cash/premium for selling the contract and risks expose of being assigned shares at the strike price.

I was far more comfortable shorting puts a few months ago because the premium would halve the cost basis of any assigned shares but i DGAF.

Edit:
Sold to open 100 Apr 16 2p at .75
$7500 premium
10,000 shares potentially assigned at $2 per or $20,000 total would give me a cost basis if $1.25 per share ($20,000-$7,500=$12,500 for 10k shares)
