I did contact the AVEW CEO in January and they are in the process of becoming OTC Current. So maybe this volume is in anticipation of some filings coming in? Here was Jose response to my e-mail:

I am AVEW shareholder and I was wondering if you were planning on getting the CE Removed on OTC markets? I was also curious if you have any updates or news coming? I would like to know if things are progressing?
