baglady, you're talking about a "limit" order. That's not the same as a stop-loss.
I know of no Brokers who allow stop-loss orders in the Pennies.

But, in theory, putting in a limit sell order causes your Broker to take those shares out of play.
In fact, it doesn't work, because there will always be more shares to borrow if need be.

The article I referred to earlier is very generalized and doesn't say how investors were able to "lock-in" their shares.
