Maybe I have missed something. I thought the object of the game was to wag closest to the time of the event. If that was and is the purpose, then I won. The final wags were:

10-15-03 09:24:55 p.m. EST ... Novo Mira
10-16-03 10:16:00 p.m. EST ... bbgold :^)
10-17-03 10:17:03 p.m. EST ... WTMHouston
10-20-03 09:55:00 a.m. EST ... The Original dpb5!

Post 1.6 occurred on 10-17-03 at 4:49:48 P.M.

I was off by 5 hours and 28 minutes. BBgold was off by over 18 hours. How could I not have won?

There has never been a rule that I am aware of (nor one stated in the IBox) that says that whatever time is contained in the guess must be prior to the event occurring. There was and is a rule I am aware of that says that you must post your wag before the event occurs. Seems like someone (derf maybe) actually posted a wag after the event had occurred at 1.5

If the rule is that the time stated in the wag (as opposed to the time when the wag is posted) must be prior to the event, then this wag contest is different that every other wag we have ever done on IHub or anywhere else. As I stated initially, I thought the goal was to be closest.

The statement in the IBox:

The winner is the one who posts the GUESS BEFORE the actual event happens, not AFTER!

refers only to the winner being the one who posts the guess before the event. It mentions nothing about the guessed time having to be before the event.

For example, if the 1.6 post had occurred on 10-20-03 at 09:54:00 a.m., you would have been off by one minute and I would have been off by three days. It would make little sense for me to win since I did not wag closest to the event.

After all this rambling, try telling me again what I am missing.
