not if you hold on to your shares and put higher ask prices when you sell. shorts can only win when you sell into the bid. if everyone stuck together we could break their algorithyms and force them to buy the ever increasing ask price. buyers would have to buy at the ask only which would force the bid up. (all in a perfect world)
