Hello TH - You astutely point out that the destiny of some brands is to be acquired.  P&G and other large companies don't squash aspiring upstarts like 1000+.  P&G watches small brands to see successful ones emerge for possible purchase. See 1000+ beside P&G in NYC below.    /2

Pg 2 (Cont'd).  However, 1000+ is a "micro-brand", rather than even a "small brand".  In terms of scale, we are barely on the radar.  Furthermore, in the past 6 years, P&G SOLD approx 100 brands to focus on the remaining 65 that generated 95% of their revenue.  /3

Pg 4 (Cont'd) The good news is that a brand managing to become profitable will ALWAYS have "suitors" and any negotiation will just be a matter of price. That is because a profitable brand is a money making machine for the owners (shareholders).  My mission: Find a path to profit!

In 1990 Clorox acquired Pine-Sol® cleaner

In 1994 Clorox acquired S.O.S® steel wool soap pads and cleaning products

S.C. JOHNSON ACQUIRED CLEANING PRODUCT BRANDS:

In 1992 acquired Drackett, manufacturer of Windex, Drano and other specialty cleaning products


In 1998 acquired Dow Chemical's DowBrands division, which includes Fantastik and Scrubbing Bubbles


In 2008 acquired a company acquired Caldrea, Co., maker of household cleaning products including the Caldrea and Mrs. Meyers Clean Day brands.

In 2017 the company signed an agreement to acquire cleaning brands Method and Ecover.
