A Guest Uninvited


A guest uninvited,
Appeared at my door,
He ate all my food,
And then asked me for more.
He comes unexpected,
With often no warning,
Like a thief in the night,
With no trace in the morning.
He’s silent, and he always creeps,
Upon the victims that he meets.
He discriminates,
Not in the least,
A guest uninvited,
Never late for his feast.
Have you prepared
A chair for him,
In case he blows in
With the Wind.
You’ll see him once
And never again.
