As an elder millennial, I couldn't respectfully disagree more with bbotcs's comments. Millennials / Z's have money now, boomers are retiring. Those good paying jobs are going to a new generation with COMPLETELY different buying habits.
Diamonds bring mental images of african child labor. It's practically common knowledge. My sister won't take one, her boyfriend has his grandmother's ring spoken for and she is cool with that.
I agree Macy's isn't a big deal, but that doesn't mean the sales won't be there, that's exactly why they are selling online.
Edit: by the way, millennials and later don't even watch TV, much less home shopping channels. Who's getting married, not boomers. . . .
