and that is what makes this entire fiasco stupid and sad at the same time. people knew that the stock is not worth more than $10 per share, yet they thought running it up and encouraging others to buy it at these levels up to nearly $500 was worth sticking to hedge funds. do you know how many people lost their hard-earned money listening to that nonsense reddit started? people who cannot easily get access to more capital, unlike the hedge funds who will recover very quickly because they have endless access to capital for leverage.
