In general I agree with you, though I elected to hold a handful of my CE stocks into the restrictions on the belief that those will come out of the CE in the end (or at least I think the odds are good for that, giving an asymmetric risk/return profile).

What concerns me about the CE regulation the most is the language at OTC Markets that basically says that, among other causes, a CE might be slapped on a stock if there has been a suspect promotion by the company or by third parties.

What's to stop a third party from going short on a non-CE stock, then paying for the most ridiculous promo with clearly false statements to precipitate having a CE issued by OTC markets, at which point they could presumably cover as retail bailed and with lowball orders when retail could only sell?

I sold some of my current CE stocks on or before Friday, and, as noted above, chose to hold a few of them for a potential big return eventually (accepting little liquidity in the meantime). I am not worried about those. I am worried that some of my other positions could be slapped with a CE in the future with little or no notice even if the company is clean and has the best of intentions.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
