I am not promising anything -

If I told my business associates that my company would deliver something in December with 99,99% certainty, they would perceive it as a promise.

If I then, after having failed to deliver in December, told them at numerous occasions that my company would deliver in January, they would perceive that as a promise.

If I also failed to deliver in January, despite my own self-imposed timeline, would I still be in business with these guys? Probably not.

I shall ask again, are we on track to complete audited financials by December 31, 2020 as previously stated?

Yes the audit commenced, and we are trying to complete first the May 31 2020 and May 31 2019 audit we should be able to before this year ends, if not in a week from Dec 31, 2020.

are we to assume we will have audited financials out before January 1?
should be in place 99.99%
