I get what you are saying, and the prospect of negative posts causing people to lose out is something I wouldn't be happy about, but there is another side to that:

What about the person that becomes so convinced by all of the positive posting that a stock is going to become the next Apple that they put all of the family money into the stock, only to lose it all when things don't go through as expected? I've known people that has happened to. It's far worse to lose it all than to not gain it all. What if my posts provided a perspective that helped that person avoid losing it all? What if the right price for this stock really should be .01 right now?

And no, I wouldn't do everything possible to send a stock to the moon if I owned more shares. Because I think that would require questionable pumping without the evidence to support it. Even when I own shares I often put out the caveot -- "IF they do this, then the stock could do this". I rarely say things like "this stock will be a $1 by the end of the year".

I think people are responsible for their own investment choices. And I try to post my honest opinions about a stock. If people don't like it and they claim to be long term investors, then they should reconsider their claim. If they don't like it and they are short term traders, then it really is all part of that game. The truth wins in the end.

My philosophy is to just be honest and balanced, and let the market decide if it agrees or not.
