This certainly does raise that question.

The two companies will work together to increase Kraig Labs’ product development agility and production scalability.

Isn't that what all the excitement over Polartec was all about? Remember when Milliken supposedly bought them based on their corroboration with Kraigs? Yet they turn over the launch of a revolutionary new fiber to M the man. Why?

Of course I hope I'm wrong but I sense a pattern here:
