If a company who just unblinded their data from a randomized controlled trial and had any concerns about those same trial results, they would NOT announce a collaboration with some obscure NASDAQ listed company who makes a drug for some obscure ailment. They would not "give" $1m away to do so, they would not "loan" $4m to be secured by a "lien on all of Acer's assets" either.

Now, if that same company wanted a fast track approach to be listed on the NASDAQ for "some reason", oh say that they just unblinded their data and it looks great, they would definitely do this. To me it seems quite clear what is about the occur but thinly veiled enough to blind some apparently.
