IBM Japan To Resell BroadVision Applications
By asia.internet.com staff

In an extension of its ongoing relationship with IBM, NASDAQ-listed BroadVision, a provider of enterprise self-service applications, has partnered with IBM Japan to enable Big Blue to resell its full suite of applications in the country.

"This announcement is evidence of the continuing strength of our alliance with IBM," said Brett Ho, vice-president and general manager for BroadVision's Asia Pacific and Japan operations. "BroadVision's presence in Japan will now benefit from IBM's impressive reach and long experience in the Japanese market."

IBM Japan will provide BroadVision-based e-business solutions including hardware, software and integration services. It will also offer post-sales maintenance and support to customers using both IBM and BroadVision products and services.

The resale agreement is the latest enhancement to the relationship between both companies. They had recently announced that BroadVision's J2EE-enabled application platform, BroadVision One-To- One Enterprise 6.0, will be fully interoperable with the IBM WebSphere application server.

In addition, BroadVision's applications will be available for IBM's AIX operating system with support for the DB2 Universal Database in the coming months.
