The company got hurt bad with Covid and having their stores looted and curfews. Lots of businesses have gone belly up. These dispensaries are still running and when I called both place said they were making their numbers. I just asked nicely how business was. I think they made the smart move to sell those assets and to lower overhead. It really is a maze to get a license to open a dispensary. There are plenty of companies that would love to just buy a turnkey operation.
