I listened to the video again and I caught something that the interviewer said that I think answered my question.

How I think this works is they're estimating that 335K number as an average number of ounces they can do annually because as You said they made the mill smaller.(can't handle that 410K number anymore) so after the ninth year that production number would fall off to something less than the 335K number they feel would be a good maximum yearly output.

It may drop to 200K, then 150K, and so on, but by that time they should be finding more gold somewhere close and hopefully can get it to the mill.

So, the mine life at the Springpole pit will be for a number of years after the 9 year peak time. They'll be mining the balance of gold that remains AFTER that 9 yr. 335K period until it's exhausted.

I think that makes sense.
