Bionano Genomics Inc. shares were down 17% to $7.60 in late-morning trading.
Before the market open, the genome analysis company said its underwritten public offering of 33.3 million shares of common stock priced at $6 a share.
Bionano said it expects gross proceeds from the offering of about $200 million .
The company granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional five million shares at the public offering price.
