I'm no fan of Biden but no new tax laws have been written or passed yet.If Biden does pass a new tax and is true to his word then 40% capital gains tax would only impact those that made over $250k. As of now the highest tax is still only 37%. But hypothetically speaking let's say someone makes 1 million on any stock. Sure paying $370k is better than paying $400k on that 1 million but a 3%/30k difference isn't that significant. Now if one is making several million or billions then 40% it hurts more.
