2020 - 3766 tests administered
2019 - 4418 tests administered
2018 - 4723 tests administered
2017 - 4228 tests administered
2016 - 3658 tests administered
I am assuming that the number of participants remained the same from 2019 to 2020.
I don't think that assumption is unreasonable. You will have to rely on my eye test and memory if I don't have numbers to back it up. We are still testing the same number of people, or maybe even, its just that the tests administered is down. How is that possible?
How is it that tests administered is down 15% in 2020 (and 22% in November and December vs a year ago combined)?
One answer may be that the number of patches per participant either fell slightly. I can't speculate why. Perhaps, the length of time that the patch stayed on the participant increased by court order? Less travel to have a patch removed? More social distancing?
Does this have to do with pricing? After all, U/A (I believe) is a cheaper alternative and that could have an affect as people are switched from urine to the patch.
