Indeed. And a 10% increase in mortality would fill a football stadium with dead bodies.

Is that possible?

Of course. Brilacidin has known pressor effects - quite large ones too- and its toxicity profile in patients with pre-existing moderate or severe COVID-19 is entirely unknown.

While a placebo controlled trial with a Drug Safety Monitoring Committee is sensible and ethical, dosing patients with brilacidin before the results of that trial are known is neither sensible or ethical.

Again I remind the board of the CAST study of anti-arrhythmics.
