MR40, this video is bogus. The Thermosphere and above do reach high levels of heat, high enough to melt aluminum. However, the air molecules are so far
apart, I believe about a mile, they cannot transfer enough heat to be a problem. The Van Allen radiation belts don't produce or contain radiation. They are actually magnetic belts that reflect radiation, mainly from space and sun flares, that protect the earth, and us, from radiation. This is where the Northern lights are created. I could go on but this should be enough to debunk this video for you.
