There is a long time that the SEC
can go after the person, they can take years to finally nail you with the false statement or illeagal gains on a stock PR so don't expect them to be rushing right on in. They took a full year before they did anything with ENRON and 6 Years for companys like AQUA's CFO. So they have plenty of time to hurt you for misleading the public.

If it wasn't for everybody manipulating the market, there wouldn't be a stock market at all.
