Once Mnuchin went all the way to SCOTUS, he couldn't back paddle. He and Calabria are letting the courts take care of the heavy lifting. SCOTUS will rule SPS paid. It will also rule NWS illegal. WE ARE GOOD!

The letter of agreement took care of Fannie's immediate issue - crossing the $25 billion threshold.

Since becoming the Director, Calabria has been talking about mileposts but hadn't defined what the mileposts were (reminded me of the double-secret probation). We now know the next one is reaching 3% CET1 to be released from conservatorship. We'll be in conservatorship longer than anyone expected. But at least now we have a goal. With help from SCOTUS and Federal Court of Claims ($124 billion) we might get there a little earlier.
