I have sold lots of shares. My core position continues to increase, but i bought some at .125 yesterday, sold them today at .195. My core shares are all paid for by flipping so even if it goes to zero no loss. You watch a stock long enough you get to know its rhythms. The core position is an investment , a combination of investment and trading seems to work for me.
As far as getting shares under the ASK. Patience, set a price and wait. If i don't get it i don't chase, there are other stocks. Have i missed some opportunities? sure, but i don't get stuck bag holding either. Don't get emotional about stocks, don't get caught up in the hype. set an entry and exit strategy and stick to it (or at least close to it).
May not work for everyone, but that is my philosophy and it works for me.

Anything i say is what is right for me, and may not be right for someone else depending on circumstances, trading philosophy, risk tolerance and other factors. I don't know you well enough to give investment advice.
