I expect KBL to be on track and progressing between Phase 2 and 3 as stated in this 2019-09-03 Vietnam Association of Textiles article. (They did say they were on track in the last PR)
https://vcosa.vn/en/kraig-biocraft-sets-up-new-biotech-lab-in-vietnam

The Prodigy Textile "biotech research laboratory" was completed in August 2019, won the local government's GM certificate and deemed themselves no threat to Vietnam's traditional sericulture. Everyone confuses this as an easy process (including Mr Kim Thompson) but this had to be done in stages because GM has stigmas attached to it. Despite uncertain times (obtaining that certificate and then the COVID restrictions), they fostered good relations with the Quang Nam sericulture community and now the Quang Nam Mulberry Cooperative is booming (I assume no one bothers reading Google.vn news).

When Phase 3 kick's in, we will be set. Right now, the average Mulberry Cooperative get's paid about US$6.50/kg of completed traditional silk yarn. Though they're happy with this market rate, KBL will be paying them more and that will only make them work harder. In the meantime, KBL connects with clients, does quality control and sells it competitively against AMSILK, SPIBER and BOLT THREADS for a neat profit. All thanks to the humble Mr Jon Rice. When Vietnam's carbon tax gets implemented in January 2022, KBL will be even more attractive than Spiber's Thailand chemical refinery.

People can ask David Gonzalez from YAII why his company chose to lend US$950,000? Yorkville Advisors is in Mountainside, New Jersey http://www.yorkvilleadvisors.com/team/david-gonzalez/
