That's a huge piece of the puzzle filled in here. Looks like SORC is going from a private to a publicly traded company through this merger. Laredo is already a big company but SORC could be even bigger and bring a whole lot more value to shareholders. We already know SORC has received large amount of funding from Alleghany but only questions left for me is why they sell Teapot and how much they get paid for it? Why sell an oil field that provide such a huge source of revenue? Maybe they have bigger things in mind? This is a really old article but I provide the link for it. Teapot seemed to be losing value 23 years ago. How much has it increased in value and production since then? All in all, still a very big resource that they should receive very large dollar amount for.
