Wether its more effective or not, I can personally say I would rather have a gel that kills the cancer than the organ removed. I have had both Thyroid and Bladder cancer about 10 years apart. While the thyroid was not a huge deal to me personally to have it removed, I now have to take a daily Levothyroxin pill to compensate. Other than that, I have never missed the cancerous tissue/gland. Still having the ability to kill the cancer and keep my Thyroid gland would have been my preference .... not to mention the cost of the surgery way outnumbered the cost of having a Radiogel treatment.

HOWEVER, the bladder cancer is a totally different story....................

This was major surgery and the cancer almost breached the bladder wall, which if it had, I was done for. As it was, it could have even spread into the lymph nodes, so as a precaution the surgeon removed any lymph node in proximity. So I had the bladder removed and now deal with the daily issues of not having one. Which if anyone else knows what I am talking about, knows exactly what I mean. Also, the cost of the anesthetist, surgery, hospital stay and in home care was EROMOUNS compared to a Radiogel treatment

Both of these cancers are reachable for Radiogel treatments, and as the Doc says, "If we can reach it, we can kill it "

So, yea, its a lot more effective to the patient both physically and financially
