Buying on the bid or the ask is the same thing. You see when someone sells to the bid, that's a sell. But it's also a buy. I bought 2 million shares today, because I'm bullish on this stock at .0010, but I did not hit the ask to get the shares. I got nothing at 0009, had bid in since 9:30 AM.
