Scientists don't go on to build businesses? And their products just stay in the lab not to be commercialized? Ok.

Anyway, in the Real World, yes, anyone can start a company. In that same Real World, though, not everyone can sustain one. In theory, yeah,, i guess anyone can start a Spider Silk company. Doesn't mean anyone can sustain one. But KBLB is the ONLY publicly traded Spider Silk company in that Real World as it stands today. There may be more in the future, but, I don't need the flux capacitor to tell me KBLB's sustainability will have a lot to do with the advances in this field.

It's understood some just want to see anything with Spider Silk get spit out. Kind of naive thinking, though, in the world of business. Especially with never-accomplished-before commercialization of specialized tech like Spider Silk. Sure, if KBLB wasn't shooting for the actual performance characteristics of Spider Silk in their products something could have been churned out, but, they know that's not what will sustain the company. Nor reap the most profits. Getting it right is more important than just creating something just to say they did it. Mr. T knows what he has and knows what others don't have. Those two pieces of information give KBLB all they need to succeed!
