The semantics of the word "investment" can be ambiguous when discussing the purchase of stock rather than directly funding a new capital venture but the difference, in my opinion, is risk, liquidity, time, choices and who utilizes the initial capital.

Direct investments and public offering funds are utilized by the new company- market stock purchases are not. We didn't buy our shares from TDS but from a stock trader.

TDS doesn't owe us anything, they certainly don't have an obligation to work on our timeline and I'm sure they don't have a desire to read complaints. It's truly their business, they are doing the hard work and they are allowing us to ride on their coattails- and guess what- we can easily jump off anytime we want to.

This is a potentially lucrative gift from TDS, perfection takes time, for many of us it's been seven months- in the investment world that is not a long time. To make it work a share holder needs to adopt the mentality of an investor rather than a swing trader. Being miserable is a choice.
