I have one final thought for you for today, considering how convinced you are that promoting and making positive statements is such a bad thing for a company. I have been studying stock market media for over 20 years and I have never seen a CEO make any less than 90% positive statements about their company in any interview (unless the company was in very bad shape). Have you ever had an interview where you were mostly skeptical about your company even though the company was growing like crazy and making more than expected revenue? If you say yes, I will have to ask for the link because I won't believe it.
