Microsoft is developing an operating system for the AMD chip, its first for a non-Intel processor.

Seems she's a little light on her computer history. Microsoft has had OSs for Alpha, MIPS and ARM.

The only ones they've kept are ones whose volume warranted the expense of further development...volume rules.
