A company officially decides to shrink directors by 1 and then a month later said company suddenly onboards a highly experienced person and grants them a bunch of stock shares (basically free for low cash company), then this person is key in brokering a deal in which the previously mentioned shares become (much more) valuable as a result of a purchase or merge? Does this ever happen? Does this smell more or less buyoutish?
