Why do some people want this technology to fail

Wanting one way or another is not science. It will fail.

If one "wants" a compassionate reason for it to fail, then it's best for a 2nd line PC patient not to place their remaining life on the line. For a treatment that will fail. Instead they should choose an emerging treatment such as BL-8040, which has already shown great promise in CTs. Or a smorgasbord of other ongoing CTs. There are no do-overs for these 2nd line patients, while Kenny enriches his retirement fund, pumping out PRs, and dumping stock.
