MINUTE entry before the Honorable Andrea R. Wood: The parties' joint motion for clarification [32] is granted as follows. In light of the pending motions to remand [23] and to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction [17], discovery in this matter is stayed. The parties are not required to meet and confer on a proposed discovery schedule until the motions have been ruled upon unless otherwise ordered by the Court. The Court deems this approach appropriate in light of the possibility that the case will be remanded to another venue for further proceedings. The parties may, however, take appropriate steps to preserve evidence, including serving early requests for production pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(d)(2). To allow the Court time to complete its rulings on the pending motions and, if necessary, for the parties to complete their Rule 26(f) planning conference, the telephonic status hearing previously set for 12/15/2020 is stricken and reset for 1/27/2021 at 10:30 AM.
