Just wondering where you get these numbers from?

I have seen extremely few pinkies that have made it out of the battlefield and into the limelight. You have to remember that out of all companies started, 40% will fail in the first year, in the next 5 Years, 80% of that, will fail, next 5 years 80% more - The Emyth. So if you want to go long, go right ahead it's your money.

My stats suggest this:

95% of companies survive year one.
95% of companies will go belly up between years 2 to 5
The failure rate of companies over 5 years old is quite low.

Disclaimer - I am not a basher, disgruntled ex-employee, hedge fund employee etc etc. I am a regular guy who is fed up with people being scammed.
