$GM just invented a new EV battery called the Ultium to compete with $TSLA. $GM is removing most of the cobalt from their battery cells and replacing it with nickel to increase its range. This will increase the need for nickel for EVs dramatically.

Snip..... “GM says that the Lyriq will feature a battery pack with about 100 kilowatt-hours of capacity. Its cells employ a NCMA (nickel-cobalt-manganese-aluminum) chemistry that reduces the amount of cobalt needed by 70 percent compared to the batteries currently used in the Chevrolet Bolt EV.”

“This is a new chemistry where we’ve taken a standard nickel manganese cobalt chemistry and we’ve added aluminum,” stated Andy Oury, General Motors’ lead architect and strategy manager for high-voltage battery packs. “The addition of the aluminum allows us to increase the nickel content and decrease the cobalt content, which gives customers more range at lower cost.”

So let’s see genius, $TSLA is begging nickel companies to supply more nickel. Why? Because nickel increases battery range. It does for $TSLA vehicles and it’s going to for $GM made vehicles as well. $TSLA is removing the cobalt from its batteries and replacing it with more nickel as well. This will create huge demand.

And can you imagine how fast EV cars, trucks and Semi-trucks are going to take market share from gas guzzlers with GM entering the race in a big way. 30 million EV cars by 2030. That’s what $TSLA will be doing alone. When $GM starts competing expect another 30 million. All using nickel made batteries.

Nickel currently is trading for 7.50 lb. Professionals are now talking about a nickel rush with nickel going all the way to 20.00 a pound. Musk is going to try and fight the market with supply contracts and buying nickel mines for $TSLA. But the increased demand from their new competitors will not let them control the nickel sulphide market. New supply has to come on in a big way.

We know the Gowan project F68 hole dug by the Ontario Ministry has 3.5% nickel sulphide in it. The map clearly shows the entire Gowan project including the two additional, amazing puzzle piece claim they have put together are sitting on a sulphide anomaly. This could be just as big of a nickel find as Canada nickels except this is high grade nickel sulphide, not low quality nickel.

I remember Charles Gryba, strategic advisor from the Moneta Porcupine days. He knows nickel mining. He knows how to make money. He’s working as an advisor for a reason. He and the geologists know the Gowan project is the next massive nickel find. And it’s happening during a nickel rush.

Short keeps shorting and distorting, not realizing the game he’s playing can backfire very quickly in the mining business. Big valuations come quick with the discovery of billions of dollars of a hot mineral in the ground. The nickel in hole F68 didn’t go somewhere and an orebody with that high of quality nickel is very close to the drill hole. Look at the map on their website entitled “Gowan Property Airborne Magnetics.” You can see the whole property is sitting on a massive anomaly. This could be bigger than Canada Nickel and much higher purity. Billions of dollars worth of inferred resource in the ground. Something people like Musk are drooling for to create more range for the semi-truck that requires the power and range of nickel.

Keep shorting buddy. You are an amateur playing a game with professionals.
