Any technology that improves torque efficiency will help with weight issues. Torque efficiency leads to less gearing and smaller motors. The other benefit of torque efficiency is battery efficiency. Battery efficiency leads to smaller cells and longer battery life which also benefits the weight issue..
I see lots of potential for Exros coil driver technology in aviation!
